actually I have 2 quick questions..
1. I have usually used Beall dvd-r at 2x and have had no coasters, I have had a few skips and artifacts ( probaly because of dirty disk at time of write). However I just recently got a 5 pack of 4x apple disk, and they have been quick and great, I read a lot of good things about apple disk, so I am wondering is there a place that sells them for cheaper than the apple stores $9.99 for 5, casue I know a lot of you use them, and I don't see them on meritline or shop4tech (where I usualy buy media)...
2. next question along the same line is there another durable but not too expensive 4x media brand you can reccommend besides apple, or should I just use the BeAll 4x which are about $1.50 each
thanks for any help

Apple 4X DVD-R discs are actually made by Maxell (MID code MXLRG02), the largest DVD media manufacturer in Japan. So you can find the same quality by looking for Maxell 4X DVD-R discs in either Wal-mart or Office Depot:

You can also look for Taiyo Yuden 4X DVD-R discs (MID code TYG01) which have comparable quality to Maxell brand, but they are not cheap either.
