My DVD writer Aopen 4410 can't read the DVD+R discs I've just burned. It can read the DVD+R discs I burned for some weeks ago. The discs I'm burning nowadays are the same kind and I use the same settings, but the DVD-ROM in my old computer can read them so they should be fine. Why can't my DVD writer read them?
If I burn DVD+RW (Philips discs) my DVD writer can read them perfectly.
Equipment
Program: RecordMAX
Burner: Aopen 4410
Discs: Philips DVD+R CMC and DVD+RW CMC
* On Aopen's homepage they listed Philips discs as compatible.

Could be the Discs. Try a different media thats not as "cheap".

Try using DvdInfoPro to compare the settings on the disks that work with those that don't work. Could be that something needs to be changed in the bitsettings.

They just don't look like DVD movies.
( "NOT FORMATTED" , "NOT A DVD VIDEO")
CMC's are not the best ones

Some of them are videos and some are data discs. I now that CMC are not the best ones but according to Aopen these philips dvd+r should be fine. I've bought 25 philips dvd+r 4x. I don't to throw them away.
