Using the facility in preferences I'm setting a maximum target output size of 4150mb, I don't like to fill a DVD-r.
When I go to click backup I'm getting an error that the contents will be too big, something I don't get if I don't pre-select the final target output size and simple use the standard setting, ie 4464mb
I've done a dummy run and the final size is as I set, 4150mb-ish.
Anyone else getting this message, is it something I'm doing?
Will

Hi Will.
If you lower the target size, DVD Shrink will obviously have to apply more compression to reach it.
If you leave the target size at its default setting, less compression will be required.
DVD Shrink has a limitation to the amount of compression it can apply.
My guess would be you reached this limit.
Solutions:
- Make sure you deleted all the uneccessary audio/subpicture streams.
- If you're using "Full-Disk", try "Re-author" to do a movie-only or movie+extras backup.
- Shrink the DVD twice (shrink the "shrunk" files). -
