I used scenalyzer and my canopus advc100 to capture vhs movie footage. I now have 6 avi files because I use win98se. I'm using TMPGE to encode those 6 files. How do I join those 6 avi files after I encode each one with TMPGE? Is there a feature in TMPGE that could join the 6 files to create one big file? I'm new to this capture stuff. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!![]()

Yes, once you have your six MPEG files, you should select File-->MPEG Tools...-->Merge & Cut.
Here, you select Add. Select all the files in the order you want them to be played in. Name the output file, and select Run. The new file should have all your files on it, joined.Hello. -
Thanks so much Tommyknocker! I appreciate the help and the quick response!

@ budz,
Why aren't you joining them at .avi time ??
You can do it either:
* under TMPG (though I don't know how)
* AVS script, frameserved into TMPG for encoding
* vdub, frameserved into TMPG for encoding
I'm a w98gold user, and suffer the same FAT32/4gig limit when using my
advc too. But, I've ben living w/ dvio's 4gig and just chaining them later,
during the encode process. I've ben thinking about giving scenalyzer another
try, but I just don't need all the bells/whistles, but I'm starting to get tired
of this process, when doing my VHS projects. I'd rather just segment, just
as you are doing :P ..wish vdub could work w/ my advc

I don't know what you mean by joining them at .avi time. I'm using Tommyknocker's advice by encoding the 6 avi files and join them to create one file by using TMPGE.
Thanks again to everyone who has replied to my posting. -

TMPGenc Plus 2.5, Ver 2.521.58.169 has that option. Dunno about earlier versions.. -
Don't know which version introduced that feature but I use 2.513.
