  4. 1. Re-encode to the same resolution.

    2. Try using DVDPatcher to patch the headers to the same resolutions.
    Author as usual.
Repatch back to the original resolution.
    burn

Simplisticly put that is it the devil is in the details...

Making sure to patch the proper VOB back to original resolution.

    3. put them as seperate titles on the disk. I've mixed 352 by 240, with 352 by 480, with 720 by 480 on one dvd as long as each one is a separate title it shouldn't matter.

I'm guessing TMPGenc DVD Author as a Believe TDA is its format when saving a project. Your image didn't make it so I'm guessing here.

    Good Luck

Yeah, you can't mix audio types in the same track, and DVDAuthor won't convert to/from AC-3 unless you have the latest version, and have purchased the AC-3 plug-in. You could always put them in separate tracks, though.

TBoneit - your trick won't work if you do it in the order you say. When this guy puts several clips in one track, they will all end up in a single VOB. You simply have no way of repatching a single sequence header that is somewhere in the middle of a VOB.

The trick is to use DVDPatcher to repatch the original clips back to the original resolution AFTER adding them to DVDAuthor, but BEFORE generating the DVD output. Unfortunately, even this might not work with PAL, since I think that DVDAuthor checks for PAL source compliance after you click the "generate output" button.

  7. Yup, you are right, before the images weren't loading for me.

Different resolutions, or different audio needs to be separate tracks. That being said why if they are different resolutions or audio would you wanrt them to be all on one track? Just use a menu with a play all button.

    Cheers

thanx FOO. I capture at 720x480 off digital tv and 352x480 on regular cable. I got the same error and didn't think about adding new track instead of adding new clip. This has frustraed me in the pass but hopefully no more.
