  1. I am trying to create a dvd+r from a compliant vcd/mpeg1 file that I earlier joined from 2 seperate files. I have been using chupes' guide posted 30.08.03. However, when I multiplex the mp2 and m1v files using Tmpgenc I receive a warning on completion that says '722826 s packets cause buffer underflow. The MPEG file might cause error when played." When I play the newly created mpg file it seems to play fine but after authoring with DVD Author It has no audio. Any help please? First time at this conversion by the way.

I received that same error last night and Nero gave me a compliance error when I tried to drop the file in a VCD compilation. I then used Womble MPEG VCR to multiplex and that fixed the problem.

As for your sound issue, you may have to change the sampling rate of your audio to 48000Hz.

  3. Hi, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you, I've been doing the family visiting thing. I had already set the audio sample rate at 48000HZ and just decided to take a chance and burn the bloody thing. Shock, it's got audio and no sync problems. The video quality is not bad but the source was VHS originally, I suspect. Thanx for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it and will give your suggestion a go.
    All the best!
