I'm capturing video through my AIW 9000Pro using MMC 8.1 I have some hissing sound on the capture, and need to know the best way to remove the noise and save the video file. The quality so far of the video is fine, but I need to clean up the audio. Thank you in advance for any replies.

Load the original video into Gold Wave. Select Effects-->Filter-->Noise Re-
duction-->Preset Shapes-->Hiss Removal.
If the volume is too low at this point, select Edit--Volume--Maximize.
Once the volume is satisfactory, save the video as a wave file, and once you have the video as MPEG DVD format (m2v), go to IfoEdit, select DVD Author--Author new DVD. Load the video and audio and select the target folder. The resultant files will be ready for your burner.Hello.

I have a SVCD clip captured using AIW 8500dv and C-media 8738-MX chip. I was able to use Tommyknocker's suggestion to demux the video (.m2v) and audio (.mp2) using Tmpgenc. I was also able to remove the hissing sound using Goldwave, though now, it has a little twangy/aliens type sound in the background. My main question is how to mux the video and new audio (pcm wav) back to SVCD format. The Tmpgenc said it's illegal audio stream when I tried to mux them. The secondary question is how to remove the twangy/aliens sound. Thank you in advance for help and suggestions.

For SVCD the audio must be MP2 or AC3. So reencode your wav file to MP2 (224 kbps 44 khz stereo) or to AC3 then mux it with tmpgenc.

A lot of this depends on the WIRES you are using. If this is coax input, look at getting some filters for it.
Goldwave, Audacity and SoundForge all have hiss filters.
I wrote several more hiss filters for SOUNDFORGE, and those can be found here:

I just noticed this was a threadjack from a year old post. Start a new posts, don't hijack others, especially not ones that are a year old.
