  1. Ok here is my problem:

I have downloaded lots of mpegs and tried to author a dvd using them(TMPgenc dvd author). Before i authored them into dvd files the audio and video are fine.

But after authoring the audio in some episodes are out of sync, In some it starts out ok then get worse as it goes futher into movie file, But with some it seems bad at the start and stays that way.

Can anyone tell me a program that i can use that will help me fix this?.

I still have the original files used to create dvd files so i can redo these dvd's if the problem lies with my original files.

  4. What are the frame rates and audio sample rates on the input mpeg files you're having the problems with?

What is different between those files and mpegs that work okay?

  5. neo4u I had the EXACT same problem, I found the solution was that the AUDIO that was encoded when I captured the video (I used winfast PVR) was a wierd format and TMPGenc dvd author was re-encoding only the audio, not sure i fyou noticed its "re-encode audio to match output format" tick box?

I got around it by using a different capture program (dvd movie factory) that let me specify the exact audio format I wanted (mpeg layer 2 - 48000 - 256) Winfast was using some wierd 41000khz setting which TMPGenc re-encoded and stuffed up my synch (gets worse as dvd played)

so yeah try and get your captured video to exact DVD specs and TMPGenc wont re-encode then and it will all be in synch

You will know your audio is correct when TMPGenc dvd author tick box for audio re-encoding is NOT ticked by default.
