  1. Hi,

I was under the impression that the advantage of Recode 2 over DVD Shrink was that I could create working menus in the "Remake a DVD" mode; and splitting a DVD9 to two DVD5's (with working menu on both disks) in the "Copy Entire DVD to DVD" mode. Am I wrong on both accounts? Trying it for the first time last night, I couldn't build a DVD structure in the former mode, nor could I cut/split a movie without re-authoring (and losing menus). Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

  2. Sorry I am not 100% sure what you are asking, do you want to keep the original menus or make your own custom ones ?

Recode cannnot preserve menus, for that look at Elby CloneDVD. Works extremely well,it will even eliminate those annoying previews at the beginning of many DVD's.

I want to keep the original menus on both disks. I guess in a sense I am hoping to find a DVD9 -> 2 DVD5 method that's easier than using ifoedit but better than DVDFab... I'm finding ifoedit a bit daunting, and DVDFab does not let me put menus on the second disk...

From reading users' inputs, it looks like I cannot choose a splitting point using CloneDVD though...
