  1. I got that error message when I tried to encode a movie, what do I do to make this work? I wanna make it to an mpeg (vcd), it's already an avi.

  2. I'm assuming you are using TMPGEnc?

That may solve your problem if that doesn't fix it then it may be because TMPGEnc doesn't decode 44.1 khz audio (I believe that's the right number). So you have a couple options.

Re-encode your avi (you are going from avi?) using virtual dub.. set the audio compression to mp3 48khz setting.

Or re-encode your avi, save the audio out as a wav file, and the movie out with no audio. Then load both into TMPGEnc.

At least one of these three should help you out.

btw.. you may wanna include more details when you got a question.. cause no one can be sure what you are using to rip/convert the movie, the movies original format, what you've already tried to do to rip/convert the movie, etc. it'll help people be able to answer your questions better.

One last note, in the above I said that TMPGEnc does not properly decode 44.1 khz, this is just what I've heard (and I think that was the number). I may have gotten the two numbers backwards (44.1 and 4
