  1. Been using Besweet for this but I found it may be incompatible with some Pioneer players. ffmpeg also uses the same encoding program. What then can I use to make a 100% fcompliant AC3 for NTSC DVD?

  2. FFMPEG GUI uses the same engine but it does NOT have the issues that BeSweet has with making compliant files. Actually someone reported the newest BeSweet doesn't have the problem anymore either but I haven't tested that.

ffmpeg has the same issuses as besweet...it doesn't work on some few pioneer dvd players for example.

You need a dolby licensed ac3 encoder

some authoring tools does have ac3 encoding support. Next version of tmpgenc dvd author will include an ac3 encoder.

  4. must be specific pioneers. the older one I had won't play files created by Besweet but play FFMPeg GUI files perfectly.

  5. Had problems playing Besweet'ed stuff on my Yamaha too. Haven't had any probs with ffmpeg stuff though... so it obviously depends alot on the player.

Might want to also check out Sony Vegas Video+DVD. Just ordered it so I can't say much, but you can read up on if you do a search.

    Good luck!
