  1. Just got two very good deals on a Liteon 811s and 851s.

    Which one should I keep and why?

    Look at this link also-

    The difference between the 411S and 451S is that they have some different components. The 451S has
    beter pick-up which makes the access time shorter the the 411S.

  5. Keep the 811s, since it allows bitsetting of DVD+R discs to DVD-ROM, so that standalone DVD players can recognize it and play it properly.

    Rumor has it that someone will be soon coming out with a firmware hack for the 851s to allow bitsetting.

    Also heard from various people that Ricoh 4x DVD+R burns flawlessly at 8x on the 811s, but people have problems burning at 8x on the 851s.
