How do I fix this anyway?

Where the lines drop down, it makes a sound I don't want in there. Sorry for my noob question. I think maybe the pencil fixes this, but that seems repetitive, and I can't scroll left and right very well when I'm so zoomed in. Any suggestions?

Are there any good 'how to edit audio' tutorials by any chance?
I used to laugh at those who liked to gawk at Lara Croft, until one day, when I realised I'm in love with Solid Snake! >.<

That wave is definately not right. You have a nasty DC bias problem somewhere.

How are you recording this audio? I would be willing to bet your recording from an external source into the line in on your soundcard, aren't you. If this is the case, what is the make and model of your soundcard, what are you recording from, and what is the quality of your cables?
