They don't pay the tax in our money. No hosing there.
Last week, AUD was over .78 USD, .68 NZD.
I guess an Anzio, if that's the right term, could get a bargain on the mainland, or whatever it's referred to as.
And as Will has said, years at buck 50 to the pound, now 1.80 or so.
Even the Turkish Lira is at 1.3 million to the dollar, was around 1.55 million.
Guess the dollar isn't as sound as it used to be.
Still, our taxes seem on a par, and you are ahead as you don't have co-pays on your medical and we do. And, when I do go on Medicare, I have to pay a monthly premium from my Social Security check to even be in the Medicare program. Generally, the yearly premium increases about enough to cancel out any cost of living increase in SS benefit.
What a country, huh? They get you coming and going.
