    with version 3.1.2, can you now re-author with working menus?
    I can do menus by just coping them over, but that just shows menu, its not functional.

    DVD Video Discs use a file structure NOT a file format. So you CAN NOT cut/paste pieces of a DVD like you can a normal video clip. There is no way to re-author a DVD (using shrink) and have functional menus unless you manually re-author the entire DVD with a DVD authoring program (eg. Encore, Maestro, Scenarist, etc).

    To have a functional menu and just the movie, I would first strip everything else out with IFOEdit (see guides), and if that is still to large compress (full backup) with DVD Shrink.

    Then why in this version of shrink you can drag and drop the parts of the menu in reauthor mode? Unlike in previous versions, where re-author would just take titles

    you could actually drag and drop menu's with 3 beta 5, they just didn't work. Same with 3.1
