I bought -R just because I could and it was available.
Movies work fine, haven't actually tried data, but I'm sure it'll be fine.
If it works, any reason to pick up a stack of +?

Only 1 i can think of. If + work on your players then you can buy whatever is cheapest in the brand you prefer to use. Riteks for me, but + dont work on my players so I stick w/ -

What do you mean by that exactly? You can't do that with - discs? I figure ritek -r are about 1$ a disc, + is marginally more

Try as I did, I still saw no reall difference in articles between the two.
Guess if your player will play both, flip a coin and stick with it? -
Suposingly, the +r will burn better and playback better cause it requires not finalizing the disc and can burn and stop at any sector, that is what i read from DVD+RW Alliance, however, i see no difference when i burn and i see the +r has really bad comp. issue.
SO I SUGGEST YOU, STAY WITH WHAT WORKS, DON'T TRY SOMETHING YOU DON'T SURE -
the best part of life is trying something you've never done before. What are you afraid of?

I use both - and + Riteks. Send out both to customers and have not had to send "The Other" format because the one I sent originally did not work for them. My 2 cents.

If everything is fine, then why start this post? Could it be you're in denial?
There's nothing like the seed of doubt.Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
