  1. I bought -R just because I could and it was available.

Movies work fine, haven't actually tried data, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

If it works, any reason to pick up a stack of +?

Only 1 i can think of. If + work on your players then you can buy whatever is cheapest in the brand you prefer to use. Riteks for me, but + dont work on my players so I stick w/ -

  3. What do you mean by that exactly? You can't do that with - discs? I figure ritek -r are about 1$ a disc, + is marginally more

Well, until this statement is no longer true with your -R discs, then I see no reason for you to switch to +R. To me, it is as simple as that.

  5. Hmm.. ok then Try as I did, I still saw no reall difference in articles between the two.

Guess if your player will play both, flip a coin and stick with it?

  6. Suposingly, the +r will burn better and playback better cause it requires not finalizing the disc and can burn and stop at any sector, that is what i read from DVD+RW Alliance, however, i see no difference when i burn and i see the +r has really bad comp. issue.

SO I SUGGEST YOU, STAY WITH WHAT WORKS, DON'T TRY SOMETHING YOU DON'T SURE

the best part of life is trying something you've never done before. What are you afraid of?

In this case then you are saying even though what he uses now work great he should keep trying until he get bad results? That's pretty rediculous!

If it ain't broke don't fix it! If the discs burn and play correctly you will get NO benefit at all to going to DVD+R so why even bother!

I use both - and + Riteks. Send out both to customers and have not had to send "The Other" format because the one I sent originally did not work for them. My 2 cents.

If everything is fine, then why start this post? Could it be you're in denial?

There's nothing like the seed of doubt.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
