I have a copy of Nero 5.5 Express, and have mostly use Roxio for writing software. I have seen a number of people report the specs on their drives
(i.e. write speed, firmware vs.), which is gathered in Nero. When I opened Nero Express for the first time, after installing a Sony DRX510ul, the spec sheet popped up, giving me this info. Can someone tell me how to navigate to that screen again? I have tried to relocate it, but cannot find it in a menu anywhere. I am sure it is simple.

Well,
The drive info menu in the tookit is different from the splash screen that initially came up. It shows the read-write speads of the CDRW, but does not show the write speed of the DVD writer. The initial splash screen was different, and showed the writing specs (i.e 4x). Can someone who is familiar with Nero clear this for me?
BTW, is there a place on this forum where I can get a primer on ASPI?
What it is for, and how to load it if you need it? I noticed the ASPI tab in the tookit, and it showed system ASPI on my Win98SE machine with the DRX510ul, but no system ASPI (Nero ASPI only), for my XP machine with the DRU510a. That writer is in an ADS box, which I indicated in a previous post was recognized by XP device manager as an ADS firewire device only. It seems here also, in the drive tookit, it is not recognized on the XP machine.Milt
