Play a SVCD or VCD on LG5353

Hi
i burned a CD-R with Nero Express 6 and i store in it afile in format MPEG2 (SVCD).
The problem is that the DVD player LG5353 doesn't play it. On the TV appears the error message.
I try the same thing burning a video like MPEG1 (VCD) but is the same.
If I see in the Chapter DVD Players i can read that almost the people can play SVCD or VCD on the LG5353.
Question:
Is there any firmware upgrade (like for the are code) ?
Is there to set some particular parameter during the file conversion MPEG --> VCD or MPEG--->SVCD or during burning ?
