  1. Weird thing, I noticed with all versions but the newest one that if I have Nero open at the time that shrink is open, shrink says it can't find a file. Close Nero & things are fine.

  2. well of course they are all great being they are free but if I still like the lay out and muti-windows of DVD Shrink 3.0 Beta 5 the most....

also 3.0 Beta 5 had an option under view for "combine shared files".. This helped for those films that have wide and full on the same disk.. If I wanted to just "still frame" the fullversion rather then reauthor. As it is now, in 3.1 they are just meshed together.. Same for some tv on dvd disks due to the muti eps per a disk.

if the newest version has the option to not have them combined, I did not see it.. Again, not a big deal in anyway being I just have both 3.0 and the 3.13 installed and can pick the one I want due to needs.. Can't beat that for the cost, as in free.... heh

3.1.x maintains aspect ratios when previewing so it's easy to distinguish which one is full and wide versions of the film.

  4. mrbass, I think DeadLamb chose a bad example to illustrate his point, as, as far as I know, full-screen and widescreen versions never share video streams.

I think he meant what was discussed in the following thread:

  6. v3.1.4b0 is out.

Maybe it should be added to the poll options.

    yep that's it..

I picked a bad example to use of the full/wide screen issue being it is much more rare then the issue covered in the link ya posted about dvd's with say 4 episodes...

thanks for the link being at least now I know someone else noticed that too.. Ah again, not really a big deal being as we keep going over and over shrink is free so not like I'm going to rant about some little this or that. Heck if "combine shared files" gets added in some some later ... verson great, if not that's fine too.. can run both older and newer version as I said before..

Heck I still use photoshop 5.5 more then the newer versions I have.. Sometimes the older versions have little tiny things ya like more, no big deal.. Oh if anyone wonders, I need ps 5.5 for the phototools plug in that no longer works in future version of PS. Errr well it does sort of but that getting off topic as to how and blah blah blah. heh

  9. After threats of serious nagging (by me) to dvdshrink, he decided to re-implement the "Combine shared titles" feature.

    It's available in v3.1.5b4:

Also, the Closed Captions are not stripped anymore.
