svcd movie error

i have a svcd I made of my band playing and (i deleted the orignal mpeg.)..but when trying to copy the cd to another i get to about 72% and it fails.error reading data, i canot copy the mpeg segment to the hard drive either..BUT

it will play in windvd.

any ideas how to duplicate the disk?

You might want to try Alcohol 120% and create a cd image on your hard drive of the original SVCD. Use the "Image Making Wizard". Make sure the disc is clean too. If image creation fails due to read errors you have a bad disc.

If you successfuly make an image you can then use programs like ISOBuster, VCDEasy or CDMage to extract the mpeg from the image.

I had a simillar problem when I decided to buy some cheap cd media and I would get a "cyclic redundancy error" when I tried copying from the disc.

tried using nero to make an image too with same results...shall try alcohol
