Displaying titles in display?

I use ffmpeg to encode my SVCDs and they work perfect in my JVC XV-N40BK dvd player. I have a live concert and I would like to have the title of each song displayed at the beginning (or throughout) the song while being played. Is this possible? I've created chapters with vcdxgen and vcdxbuild with the xml file, but I'm wondering if there's something that I'm missing that I can put in the xml to display this? This is being made from a divx file, btw, if that makes any difference.

you could try avidemux2 ,

convert to svcd with subfile hardcoded or convert an avi wth subs hardcoded .

i convert my files always with hardcoded subs .
