    I downloaded the latest version of dvd decrypter. I was able to decrypt a dvd to my hard drive. The video portion works but without sound. I was able to hear the sound from this video before I installed Windows XP. I can hear all other sound sources. I think it could be something to do with application association. I do't really know. Can anyone help?

    are you just playing the vobs?

    it is always best to play the dvd as a dvd, using powerdvd and open the dvd folder/ifo file and play.

    I used the ATI Multimedia center file player to view the video. I will try Power dvd and let you know what happens. I had tried to view the video with MS Media Player when I noticed no sound. If this works I'll just chalk it up to another Microsoft bug. Thanks for the help.
