DRU-500 2.0H firmware - anyone try this?

I noticed that Sony recently released [url=http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/dru500adwn.htm]2.0H firmware for there DRU-500 series drives. The only new thing I can see is it offers improved support burning 8cm DVDs and improves audio playback on CDs burned on stand alone units.

Anyone try this and have problems?

I used to be able to record DVD-R at 2X (media that was rated at 2X).

Now, Nero and MyDVD both show my DRU-500A as having a MAX burn speed (actually the ONLY burn speed) for the same media as 1X !!!

How can I fix this?

I just checked again, and the English version of this update is now available at the usual location

I flashed my drive yesterday with the only hope to make those Riteks burn at 4x without result.
