Can anyone test the remote hack with new CH1500 Firmware?

Cyberhome updated the ftp with a new version of the firmware today "U1229200301" followed by "P" or "X", depending on the tuner type in your unit.

Make sure you download the correct version for your tuner.

Changes in this version:

• Fix picture is in Widescreen format when switching between DVD and TV mode
• Fix 5.1/2CH VFD display problem
• Fix weekly recording issues such as recordings not beginning on time.
• Fix EDIT TITLE on DVD+R discs.
• Fix PAUSE during recording feature.

Would someone who does not care about Region Free, i.e. only plays R1 discs test the upgrade and remote hack for me? I really want to maintain the region free status of my machine but would like to update the firmware! As a reminder the latest remote hack is as follows:

Power machine with NO disc inserted then hit PLAY followed by 00000. It should then say "Set Region Free" in light blue near the top middle of the screen.

Again I would really appreciate it if someone would test the remote hack with the latest firmware

Just did the upgrade. Never new about the region free, so I tested before upgrade and saw "set region free".

Tried it after the upgrade and once again it said "set region free".

Did the "X" upgrade.

FYI You can change to specific regions (to avoid RCE issues for some discs) by changing the 00000 to

00001 for R1
00002 for R2
00003 for R3
00004 for R4
00005 for R5
00006 for R6

Thanks for the info. Only thing that tricked me was video output was set for component and when I did set factory defaults it went blank, so I had to move my cable over to composite, to set it back up.
