    Hi everyone,
I just had a quick question about the use of Analog converted to DV. Does anyone know if it matters whether I use DV Type I or II when converting AVI to MPEG with TMPGEnc?
    Does TMPGEnc prefer either type?
Any help with this is much appreciated, thanks!!!

    Hi 8trackkid,

I have a dim and distant memory that leads me to say: DV2. I can't remember where I read / heard it or why it's the case, but I'm fairly certain.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Thanks for the help. DV II seems to be the most compatible format.

  4. Yeah Type 2 seems to be a lot more compatible than type 1.

I was getting audio errors with type 1.
