Playing image file made with Record Now Max ***.gi

My problem/question is this:

I have alot of DVD images on my hard disk which were made using STOMP'S Record Now Max - Global image builder. I would like to watch the films on my computer but currently to watch a film i have to burn it first. As everone knows DVD discs arent the cheapest so my question is as follows:

Is there anyway i could watch an image file of a dvd without burning it on to a DVD disc.

I think you can't do that unless Daemon Tools has incorporated
.gi format .

Why do you make .gi's anyway. The only thing that knows about it is
Prassi/Veritas/Stomp/Sonic record now ?

(that program is like a football) who has it now ?

I thought STOMP'S RecordNow Max was a popular up to date program which alot of people used. Am I wrong??

If so what program would you reccommend for me to back up DVDs on to my hard disk?

Are you saying that Daemon tools could be used for me to watch the films?? Please explain.

A disk image file needs to somehow be treated as a real device
to make use of it as a file system. One way is to actually put
it on a device (burn it and stick it in a device).

Another way is to have a program that fools the Operating system
into thinking there is a real device there , intercepting device accesses
and fetching the data from an image file.
Daemon tools does that , but with a limited subset of image file types.
It works with ISO images and cue/bin files, but I don't think it knows
about .GI images .

I think Record Now is probably good. I use the precursor - Prassi Primo DVD.
All I'm saying is the only reason for a .GI image is for use in duplicating
multiple DVDs. I always use the actual files because I can deal with those.

So is there anyway i can convert these *.gi files into an .iso files.

I've sorted it.

I copied the file to one .iso image in the command prompt using:

Copy /b File1+FIle2 Output.iso

Then i mounted the image using daemon tools and watched it.

Are you trying to tell me that you copied two .GI disk images
made by Record now into one .iso file and mounted it and
it played. ? I wanna know more. Did video from both
files play ? Or just one.
This means that .GI files are .ISO files

... or you are crazy
