  1. I am converting DIVX files from AVI to SVCD.

I have managed NTSC (23FPS) to PAL(25FPS) using "frameserver" thanks to advice from you guys and the quality is pretty good when i have put them on DVD-r.

Now i want to convert NTSC (29FPS) to PAL(25FPS) but have read that its best to "Forget it".

    2 Questions:

Question 1 : Is it possible?

Question 2 : If so will it be "jerky" or can it be done to give quality result?

    Thanks for any input.

Yes it can be done and it should play back just fine. I've done this with TMPGenc. The only snag was the audio playback wasn't in sync with the video. I needed to use Besweet to convert the playback rate from 29.97fps to 25fps, then I muxed that with the video from my PAL mpeg.

  3. I did it a couple of times with TmpGenc and never had any problems. If your dvd player plays both formats you could just leave it. My cheap ass player plays everything I throw into it.
