DVD Shrink 3.12 does not recognize my NEC ND-1300A drive

Hi,

I have been using DVD Shrink 3.0 beta5 and Nero 5.5.10.54 with my NEC 1300A drive under window 2000 without any problem. However when I installed the new DVD Shrink 3.12 and tried to do a direct backup. The "Burn with nero" drop dowm menu only showed "image recorder" and "hard disk folder". I used regedit to check the registry under DVD Shrink 3.12 the target device also only showed "image recorder". I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, no effect. I also tried 3.11, same problem. Is there anyway to make DVD Shrink recognize my NEC 1300A drive? I can still backup to hard disk and burn with nero. But it will be nice to do it directly. Thanks!

just did the upgrade to 3.1.1 and had same problem when using internal pioneer 105 to read dvd and wanting to use usb-nec for burn.

when used nec for both it worked, but had to be at pc to remove source sisc and put in blank

attempt to read from nec & record to pioneer over-night did not work

Hi,

DVD Shrink can rip DVD using the NEC 1300a drive. It just does not recognize the drive under Nero direct burning option. All the other programs, TPMG DVD author, Movie Factory,neoDVD worked fine with the drive. Thanks!

5.5.10.54 should work. Some versions work, some versions do not. It seems there is no patten at all.

interal pioneer 105
external usb nec 1300a

placed blank media in nec
source dvd in pioneer
dvdshrink 3.1.1 backup & burn-sees nec
working folder: vidrip# (two sub folders-audio_ts and video_ts) video_ts folder selected.

come back in 3to4 hr, all done. GREAT
