I recently bought a DVC II and like it, except for when I try to edit my clips as the audio and video are off sync by about 160 ms or so. From reading posts here and at http://stop.at/dazzle2 It seems the DVC II has an audio video sync problem when you edit your clips without re-encoding. I would like to know what everybody's solution to this is, so I can figure out the best solution for editing without having to re-encode is. Thanks!

One solution is to edit using Womble MPEG2VCR. Then demux and remux with bbmpeg. I never have a sync problem.

or edit with tmpg in it's tool section. the dazzle's movie star software as well as the older dazzle software (for the dvc1) had horrible editing results. i always had a problem with it and the clips i captured were fine
