i have a microadvantage 4x dvd+-rw, I try using ridata G04 to burn image or ifo files that i ripped using dvdshrink or decryptor and in nero 6 i am showing burn at 4x, but when the time remaining elapsed to zero, i am only half way through. I try burning 2x with a generic disk on the same movies and the time were almost identical around 50min per movies. This led me to believe that nero is not burning the ridata at 4x but only at 2x. Is this a limitation due to my system? if so, what can i do to speed it up? Is it nero problem? if so, what other program do u recommend I try burning with? Finally, if anyone using microadvantage dvd+- and can get their disk to burn at 4x, would u mind lmk what brand of dvd media u r using and what burning software u r using? Thanks for all the help.![]()

Not sure why that would happen but I had all kinds of bugs with Nero 6 and went back to 5.

I don't think it is the drive. I have a similar problem with a Plextor PX 708A.
What I see while burning is the buffer running down from 92% to 50% and then start over. It appears to be finding and writing individual files. The burn rates are anywhere from 1700kbs to 5400kbs.
When I test the Drive speed in Nero File > Preferences > Cache , I find that the speed of the drive with the files I am burning from is real slow. (277KBs) This may be caused by the files I am using on that drive. I will change some settings and see if I can get the times to match. (Time Remaining vs Actual Burn)
