Hi gang,
I have many concerts on VHS and DVD that are in stereo - usually PCM. Normally that's no problem, but these are rather poor audio sources and need to be fixed in Sound Forge. After I do this, I still have a weak Stereo file. Does anyone have any tips or know of a good site with pointers to convert PCM toa viable 5.1 soundtrack in Vegas 4.0? It's simply to make 5 tracks, but I'm not an audio engineer and need a bit of advice!
Thanks!

there would be no advantage ..... if you want the EFFECT of surround sound from stereo source -- better to use various surround modes on a receiver (most of which to me sound like crap) ...
or you can use a program like this
