  1. Yeah, I dont want to bug you guys and im sure this isnt the right forum for this sort of thing, but im tired of burning svcds then watching them on my computer since the cd drive has to spin rather fast. I heard something about making a virtual drive with alcohol 120 then mounting it and watching it that way? Is there a walk-thru with good tutorial someone can point me to that tells me what this is, how to do it, how to watch it mounted, etc...Thanks, i hope this isnt asking too much. Please dont simply post "Use alcohol 120, make a virtual drive then you uh, mount it and watch it"

Once you install Acohol 120% it usually creates 1 virtual drive automaticaly so that's one thing you don't have to worry about. In order to mount something on the drive you need a CD image file. These files end in such extensions like .iso, .bin and .cue(used together), .nrg, .ccd, or .mds which is Alcohol's proprietary image file format. You can create a cd image of an existing (S)VCD using the "Image Making Wizard" which is easy to find in the main program widow. Once you have a disc image on your hard drive you can right click your virtual drive in My Computer and select "Mount Image" and then just select your image. You can also right click most image files and select "Mount Image". Once your image in mounted you can now point any media player to the virtual drive and open it as if you had the cd in your physical drive, only with faster and smoother read speeds.

  4. Sort of off topic but I have to ask. If you just want to watch it on your computer why make an SVCD in the first place?
