  1. I convert avi to mpeg2(DVDR) and as I watch the output on a 16:9 widescreen Pal Tv, I think i get the best result when i use "4:3 (no borders encode as 4:3"). I use a prog called DVD2SVCD...
    Here's my question..
I am planning to buy a film/movie projector so I can watch movies on a big silverscreen. But can the projector understand 4:3 and adjust so the picture cover the entire screen , without making the picture looked streched in hotizontal or vertical ?

I have also these settings to use in my decoder program(DVD2SVCD).

    2. 16:9 (Borders added,encode as 16:9)
    3. Anamorphic (no borders ancode as 16:9)

  2. 99% of the time if you are converting from an AVI file you will use 4:3 to retain the aspect. I don't know what kind of projector you are talking about using but if I remember right they do have adjustments but won't stretch the aspect.

If I am wrong than "bloooow me doown!!!'
