Is it possible to customize the dvd menu in toast when burning a dvd ? The blue background is nice but what if I prefer something else ? Thanks in advance.

You'd have to go inside the Toast.app file and look for whatever image file it's using as the background image and replace it. Toast will still make its own hotspots so you are likely not to achieve the result you want.
Also if you just change the background picture, this change will probably be universal for SVCD and VCD menus as well, since they too use the same background as the DVD setting. -
The menu background is the ocean.psd file inside Contents>Resources>Themes. If you replace it you need to give the new file the same name.

Actually, the file ocean.psd is the only file in the theme folder and you can put as many .psd files you want in the folder, but toast will look for the first file alphabetically and use that for the "theme". ocean.psd is a real photoshop document with layers. i have successfully replace the "background"layer with my own image and saved and it works perfectly. I would assume it you really wanted to play with the layers you could do some fun stuff. It looks like Roxio was planning on including different themes, but has yet to do so.
Good Luck.
