  4. The placings for top ten have not been decided yet, you can vote here.

Very difficult to choose a top 3

    In no particular order
Blackadder (except for the first series which was pretty poor)
Red Dwarf, again got better as it went on.
Phoenix Nights, only finished 36 in the poll, deserves to be much higher, I guess there are a lot of people who have not seen it.

Well it did go out on CH4 - but it was a good Sitcom, did you see "That Peter Kay Thing" he did prior to Phoenix Nights ? Brilliant. His standup stinks though.

I liked that show...yes, unfortunately it did get canceled. How long did it run in UK?

  11. Red Dwarf all the way.

I also like Mr. Bean. The cartoon sucks lemon peels though.

They are in talks for the 4th series.

    In total
    6 episodes for series 1
    9 episodes for series 2
    7 episodes for series 3

So about the same amount as 1 American series

    Thanks

I just couldn't get into it. Its the same "jokes" I heard in school all those years ago - if I was 10 then it probably would've been a good night.

Blackadder always has been the best and always will be. Red Dwarf is a definite second. Fawlty Towers third.
BBC Canada- the best of the British

  20. His top of the tower stand up is pretty funny, and quite nostalgic, did not go too much on his latest though, live at the Botlon Albert Hall.

Not really - I'm just a little picky when it comes to standup comedy. I think he's a very talented guy, I just didn't appreciate him charging £25 to do the same act he was doing 10 yrs ago.

Saying that I watched Eddie Izzards new DVD the other day and that was painful - I'd have swapped that for Peter Kay - Mum Needs A Bungalow anyday.

    Blackadder
    Spaced
    Fawlty Towers

  24. My favourite sitcom would be Porridge. Closely followed by Blackadder and Only Fool And Horses. I suppose that Yes, Prime Minister and The Good Life would round out my Top 5.

Don't really regard Bo Selecta' as a sitcom. Its funny as hell but I think its just about run its course, the Xmas special was a bit weak, still "Cha'mone Motherf***er" will stay with me for a while

As will "Is this your card ? Shazam !"

Have you seen my BOOOOOK, you just have to LOOOOK for it

Certain aspects of it are still good, Scary Spice - Craig David - David Blaine to name a few, but others have had their day, that bear for one. It was funny the first time round but after that it was just shite.
