    What exactly does the motion search setting do on TMPEG? I have made mpg's with the lowest and highest settings and I saw no difference.

    better quality and will see a difference yif you try it back in a stand a lone DVD player on a 36 or 46in big screen, I use nothing other than "high" or "highest" setting anything else has too many macroblocks and can cause skipping on your VCD or SVCD.
