Any of you have digital voice recorders?
Im looking for one that records voice but then give you the ability to export the recordings to your computer to save for later.

Macmall.com swears that the Olympus W-10 works with both PC and Mac

so i buy it.......... NOTHING. no mac support. Plugging it in does nothing but have Hardware profiler say a usb recorder is attached.

so........ anyone have one that does work?
    thanks

I don't have one but the Olympus site has OS X and OS 9 software downloads for several of their digital voice recorders. But not the one you have. The online guide for yours says that Olympus is reportedly working on Mac software for it.

yea i noticed that. the ONLY one they make not in the download list.

    crazy no.

thus my reasons for asking if anyone has one of those on the list and can recommend one.

  4. You have to get the more pricey Olympus DS-330 to get full Mac support. It ships with software needed to read their sound files.

Works fine and is a great voice recorder. Got mine last summer for $125, I believe, on-line.

  6. Off the top of my head I can't remember which Olympus model, but one of them works with iListen to convert your voice recordings to text. If that's what you want to do, be forewarned that ambient sound screws up the voice profile. And if that isn't want to want to do, then ignore this warning.

  8. Yes, it was the DS-330 that was recommended for use with iListen in a MacWorld article. though I haven't tried it. Can't remember what month it was, but they also discussed the best settings on the recorder for use with iListen.
