If you're planning on taking a trip and are stopping by UK, make sure you have a transit visa or else they wont let you board...take it from a person who had to miss his flight and several others because of the new law that nobody was informed about.

I believe the same regulations now are intact in the U.S for certain countries.

This conversation turned into a LONG argument between my mom and the preson...then eventually we decided to go to the embassy and applied for the visa. It was a friday and if we applied then, the form wouldnt get filed until monday(because of the weekend) and we would get the visa on tuesday, which meant we couldnt fly until wednesday. Problem was, my mom had to rejoin her practice on monday. Fortunately, my dad has connections and one of his friends is really high up in BA and he got us a flight on Air France for 1:10 that night. Bottom line is, a trip that should have taken 1 day, lasted for 3 because of the stupid law and some other crap that caused us to miss several flights. -

This what happens to an American in New Delhi, India. This law is ridiculous to US citzens to adhere to while the British supports the US on a war.

You may not have heard this news item, which has been on the news over here a lot this morning.
Apparently due to the embarrasement of US security it is being suppressed in the news.
