I did a search but didn't come up with what I was looking for.
I would like to set up a webcam, but I don't want the poor quality CMOS type. I would like to be able to use CCD devices like security camera, pinhole, camcorder, etc. Frame rate doesn't have to be 30fps, and resolution can be around VCD quality. What I was thinking is a video capture board with imaging device of my choice, but what software exist for this purpose? I guess the Logitech Pro eX would be a good choice, but any other off-the-shelf system under $70? I have a feeling a CCD webcam doesn't have to cost much more than CMOS, but the companies can get away with CMOS so they do.
Thanks,
Andy
