converted file at triple speed

I have converted an .avi (dvx) using TMPGE and authored
with Tmpge DVD Author. When I tested the video in Power DVD,
I have a video that is basically playing in fast forward.
I don't get it.
Also, there is no sound.....

A few questions:

What type of AVI did you try to convert?
Is you newly converted MPEG playing normally in Media Player before you author it with TMPG Author?
Which TMPG template/setting did you use for you convertion?

And last but very much not least, did you read the following thread https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgenc#problems? Maybe there is already a documented solution to your problem.
