  1. Hi,
    I have recorded TV broadcasts to my Pana E100H DVD recorder HD. I then duped the recording to the E100H DVD-RAM. I then used my Pana SW-9571 DVD drive on my PC to copy the .VRO file to my PC hard drive. I then changed the .VRO extension to .MPG. The resulting file plays well using Windows Media Player.

    What I want to do is strip the audio from this recording. I was wondering what would be the proper software to use to strip the audio from an MPG file. I looked at DVDDecrypter, but it does not allow me to change the source of the file to my hard drive. Only my CD/DVD ROM drives are available.

    Will DVDDecrypter do what I want to do here? If so, how can I change the source pulldown to reflect my hard drive?

    Thanks in advance for all assistance.

  2. use either virtualdub/nandub/virtualdubmod or tmpgenc and select demux audio.

    EDIT: womble will probably do it too

  3. Try TMPGEnc->File->MPEG Tools->Simple demux or VOBEDIT->Demux.
