  1. If I want to author an SVCD and I have for example, three files:
    one is the video
and two audio files, one being normal, and the other being a commentary...

what program would be good to combine these so i can press the [audio] button on my remote to change it?
also, is it possible to select an audio stream via the disc menu?

    the programs i have are:
    VCDEasy
    Nero 5
    TMPGEnc 2.5

The two most commonly used programs for this are TMPGenc (mpeg tools/multiplex) and BBmpeg. Personally I recommend BBMpeg unless you need more than 2 streams (you can have up to four mono in a SVCD) in which case TMPGenc is the better choice. This is also all explained in this guide https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/130151.php

No, you cannot select the audio in a SVCD via any menu button. You can only do so with the AUDIO button on your remote.

  3. Okay, thanks.

I didn't know TMPGEnc could multiplex multiple audio streams...
