    Hi all...I have this drive, and it only writes at 1X. I am using Roxio 5 Platinum (had big problems with Nero that came with it). I am using Memorex- DVD-R disks (supposed to be good for 4X).

    Is it the media??..these are so expensive, It is hard to buy alot of diffrent ones to try...input??..thanks
