  1. I'm able to rip a DVD to DVD-R, just want to know how to rip to DivX with the subtitles included in the DivX file, and which player can support DivX file with subtitle?

  2. It sounds like you wan't to have the movie and selectable subtitles in the same file, thats not possible (as far as i know).

    However there are two options you could go for, 1. Permanent Subtitles, the subtitle are encoded into movie with noe way of disable it.

    2. Make an avi with preffered codec that contains the movie and a seperate subtitle file in your preffered format.

  3. thanks man, but where can i find specific how-to posts? doom9.org just has way too much stuffs to sort out what i really need. and by the way, i'd go for the permanent subtitles, as i think it should be easier that the second way you mentioned, right?
