  1. I have a router and was wondering if anyone knew any freeware programs that let you configure download bandwidth.

    BTW, if anyone knows any that are bootable at windows start up that would be great.

    I had already tried the first one and it crashed my PC twice. (First time I have ever had to reboot my PC cos it has crashed.)

    Thanks for the google search though, looks promising. I'll go through it and see if anything useful is there.

    i can not swear to this - but i recall buried in win XP somewhere in one of the .msi configuration and policy things .... you can set bandwidth limits ... at least for speed ..... not download caps ...

    I use netlimiter, easy to change limits for every tool.
