  1. a friend has recorded a program for me in his standalone recorder to a + RW disc (dont Know which unit recorded it)

I have managed to rip it using DVDDecryptor using file mode ( Got a few unusual messages - 'Pack header not found'

the problem is, there is extra footage that I dont want - how do I get rid of this before I author it

Also I noticed the file size of the VOB's are smaller than standard DVD's i.e. 768,864 - any problems here

This is the first time I have strayed off the Comercial copy scene which is why I'm posting here (I did try a search but I find you have to be very accurate in your guess of Keywords to have any joy...no doubt someone will come up with something very obvious and very useful)

    Thanks in advance

  3. Thanks Baldrick , will give it a try
Before your reply I had started to rip in ISO mode(something I had'nt done before but got the idea from a previous post by DaveS) and I have to say itl looked far more promising than the version I had before....is this also something I sould be doing ( although I did get a read error after 84%)
