    I use nero 5.5 to make my VCDs. I put them in all the right formats (NTSC) and when i put it in my DVD player it says VCD then spits it out.
    ANy ideas why it's doing that?????

    Which exact version of Nero are you using 5.5-0.8?,1.8?,2.3? 2.4?

    This could be one of your problems.

    Another problem could be the encoder used - Panasonic MPEG Encoder is more compatible with DVD players.

    CD-R layers don't seem to be a problem with your DVD Player as it is meant to take all.
