1. I read some messages about this subject in the forum, but have found no solution. I ttries to convert an AVI file with video codec XVID MPEG-4 and audio codec MPEG layer-3
Audi and video both load in TMPEG but when I hit the start buton I get the following message: "write error occurred at address 77F73187 of module ntdll.dll with 00000000"
I don't understand a word of this message, what does it mean and how do I solve the problem? Can anyone please help?

1) Reboot
2) Uninstall TMPGEnc
3) Reboot
4) Delete the old TMPGEnc folder
5) Re-install TMPEnc
6) Reboot

This generally fixes TMPGEnc errors of your sort. If not, get the 4cc changer and change your avi to divx/divx , this nearly always works.

3. Hi,

Thanks for your response, but unfortunately it did not work. I did what you advised me to do, un- and reinstalled TMPGEnc. But that made no diference. Got the same error message.

Than I dowloaded 4 cc Changer as you advised, it gave me four possibilities, turn the XVID into Mp41, MP42, MP43 or Div3, but at the first attempt it ruined my file. There was no more video, just audio.
I managed to get another copy of the file, and made copies before trying it again. But all the posiblities give the same result, just audio, no video.[/img]

4. I found the solution and it is even easier than i thought it would or could be.
Silly enough all i needed was a xvid codec and TMPGEnc supports avi-xvid files and allows them to convert!!!!

VBR audio maybe? Rip the audio to wav (Goldwave) and use that as the audio source.

7. yeah, i used ddivxrepair, and it took out all the bad frames, but it still done it. and every avi i'v tried to take the audio out and use it as a source (which i use virtual dub) and the audio is off but tmpgenc eeads the file cause i reconverted the video to divx, and i cant get the audio synced.
8. Do full audio>processing mode in virtualdub to extract the audio to PCM. Direct stream copy will keep it an mp3 but will ave wav extension. Then encode the pcm audio with tmpgenc or toolame or whatever is your poison.
