  1. Hi there, I am trying to create a SVCD of my VHS Tapes. I am using Power director pro 2.55 or Ulead movie studio. The problem I am having tho, is that I can only capture about 300mb or about 16 mins, then PD comes up with the message Insufficient space on drive? I have set the output for the files to be burnt on my second hard drive which has 47Gb free space.
When I use Ulead MS, the same thing happens, exept the preview picture in the software just drops to black, and it stops capturing.
When I go to the capture output directory, PD Pro produced a file of some 300mb, and Ulead a similar size, but there is still 12 mins of the program I was trying to capture.
I was just wondering why I carnt get a FULL CD-R

Thanks for any help, Cheers Chris

  3. Two things ...

How much space do you have free on your primary drive? Could it be that it is running out of space as the programs write temporary files?

Also -- Are you using NTFS or FAT32 file system? If you are using FAT32, maybe the 4GB file size limit is a factor. Although your saved file size is only approx 300MB, it maybe that there is a temporary file created that exceeds the 4GB size.

Ideally your primary and secondary drives should be using NTFS w/ WINXP.

Just a couple of areas to look at !!
