    There is a new IDVD patch which enables it to use external firewire drives. Anybody try this????

    I have the patch which is a installer and I would like to know first is: Will it work for iDVD 3 and/or 4?

    If you mean the OWC patch, it was designed for iDVD 1.5. I'm not sure it will still work. If you have an empty optical drive bay, considere moving the mechanism inside your Mac.
